Thinking about it, next time people find an ad, you could paste the details like I have done which gives a good price history and mods etc. Also often plaques and number plates are also visible.

I emailed this company late last year about the possibilities of doing a trade + cash for one of those BG Vee's.

Didn't even get a response from them, but their loss. I just don't understand how a business can be successful without taking it's email sales seriously.

Tell us more Martin - are you going to tinker with the turbo ? A bit of a dull drive :( I'd have though after a Vee :s

Hi Phill,

Been under the radar a bit with stuff going on but yes thinking of an S3 as I want to continue my unbroken Turbo 4x4 theme and the Audi S3 circa 2003 facelift ticks the boxes and will carry a mountain bike without me buying an estate. They can be tuned pretty well and the Haldex 4x4 system can also be modified to provide improved rear wheel engagement :race:

My GF has just bought a competition line A1 and that is a smart little car - there is an S1 coming out next year and a limited edition (333 of them only) A1 Quattro sport this year - but that's £40k and won't carry a mountain bike but would be mad !

Get a real Quattro Martin. Would be cheaper in the long run, more exciting, better handling and slightly bigger. . . . .

. . . . . Oh and then you have automotives greatest noise!

He he Brett,

I had the chance a few times for an older Quattro but I have lost that interest now and besides I still have my project GT4 in the garage which is getting it's roll cage fitted tomorrow and fits the bill of 'toy' :-) The S3 would be for my daily driver so I want something a little less project than a Quattro.

Minters needing nothing go for £9K now. You can pick up later 20v UR's for around £15k. Best thing of all is they are going up in price. Besided, you've already spoke about remaping and tweeking the rear diff. Lol!

I know what you mean Brett but in all honesty I don't like the overhanging engine configuration and understeer tendancies and I just want something a bit more modern and luxurious now for my day to day drive. You're right about the resales though as I do keep my eye on pretty much all 4x4 Turbo cars and especially the homologation ones.

That's exactly what an A3/S3 has though!! Lol Front transaxle, understeer and numb steering.

Hi Martin,
Do you intend to use the GT4 on any events ? keep us posted if you do as would love to see !
Some good A4 Avants around if your looking for a everyday run around and a bike carrier !

Hmmm, audi Quattro engine is longitudinal and forward of the front axle unlike the S3 due to it being transverse and with better weight distribution IMHO ... but I agree the A3 is a bit numb but the S3 is a much better car in all respects and we won't mention the A3 3.2 v6 cause that gets rubbish reviews despite looking like a good option ... in anycase I have not bought one yet but that is the current car I am looking at in terms of ticking all of my requirements - it may not tick others (and yours) understandably but I could buy a Quattro if I wanted one but I don't ...

I appreciate the input though as we can all be swayed to consider other options ...

Strange - I had a good relationship with Nick, he's always been straight up with me, and they have a good amount of repeat custom.

Guess it's one of those things - but at the end of the day, he is a car trader. So caveat emptor!

i had a white 58plate s3 a few months back and didnt like it at all . the mk5 r32 i had before that was a much better car . plus the thing with the audi s3 is they are everywhere thats why i want a vee you just dont see them they are so rare .

These currently have a titanium 255 (No 133)I'm interested in but the fella has stopped responding to emails.

They certainly seem to be a funny bunch. The car has been for sale for over a month but they've never managed to get photos up. It also disappeared from pistonheads but is now back (still no photos).

YA53 WOB. They leave it outside you can have a good nose round it. Took a pic on my way to Goodwood.

Nice straight car as far as we're aware.. Been through a few owners over the past 18 months or so, but more for the reason of being a 'toy' than anything wrong with it. Fair amount of discussion about it if you want to search.
Jim spent hours and hours detailing it, and the panel gaps, bumper are all good and straight. Been on track a couple of times with it last owner.

Worth a look.
