V6 at auction.

I might pop over and take a look how much this goes for. I wonder what the reserve is on it. I'd pay £7k tops at an auction for it. I'd probably pay £9k privatly withthe suspension upgrade.

Even if it went for £7000 there is a 10% buyers fee (£700) + 20% VAT on the buyers fee (£140) bringing the total cost to £7840

£8000 bid = £8960 Total.

Their upper estimate, £13000, would make for a total purchase cost of £14560.

For sale by Nick Whale!
He's a top dollar classic car dealer!!

I wonder why he won't retail it...

A decent amount of upgrades on it which may drive the price up a little. I think it'll struggle at that estimate though.

LOL At that estimate-

PX 6k
retail £ 7750- 8500 depending on condition

Id say thats £8250 retail- or at least thats what id be asking if it were in my possesion-

He needs to invest his sellers fee in a henry hoover!

@ this thread, familiar territory running down the price again?

no mate- giving it a realistic price-

You would actually be hard pushed to find a dealer PXing a PH1 vee at even 6k...

Im not sure what they paid for it- Even if you were very generous & said 7k if someone was trading up- If you are running an internet auction with medicore quality pictures all you are going to attract are traders, chancers & people wanting bottom dollar-

11k is laughable-
Even 8k is laughable at auction-

will be lucky for 7.............

for once instead of people getting defensive they should actually realise times have changed-- ..

Steve, my comment was not aimed at your comments personally, that's why I addressed to the thread in general.

I am sure your valuation is very realistic, I'm just not sure about the general ethos that whenever an advertised car is posted on here it is ridiculed and devalued.

I would of thought it would make more sense for everyone to hope it does achieve good money.

I am sure it took some speculative sellers to move up the price of many a recent classic.

Ph2 driver seat is a bit odd. Airbag going off ruined original?? :s

im sure IIRc when renault changed these seats on crashed cars the original logo'd seats wasnt the colours put back in-
The colour of the embossed renaultsport badge was a dark dark grey ( darker than the PH2 clios)

Chocolate Monk- Im not after devaluing the cars- its just these adverts are usually so pi$$ poor they actually dont do these cars any justice..

That car could do with a bloody good clean...

I was there today at the auction, car looked great, seats were identical ph 1 seats, and it was very clean, made £8300 plus buyers premium so new owner paid £9296 with premium and vat, which with the spec and condition of the car still looked good value to me.
