Is £193 each fitted inc VAT for New 245 rears (Michelin Pilots) a good price, or does anyone know of anywhere cheaper around North West?

if so let me know.

Paul.

Seems a good price. :thumb
I paid £182.70 each for Michelin pilots from mytyres Mytyres then paid £10 per tyre fitting.
Some club discounts available but I found theres not much in it between sites.
Whats the best price poeple have paid.

Have you tried Mytyres.co.uk and Blackcircles with the relevant discount codes for both (Blackcircles 10% used to be Lotus123, mytyres is somewwhere on the v6Clio member discounts iirc) they can sometimes be cheaper.

I have a deal going with a tyre guy who deals with cash. He fitted 4 new Falkens all round with balancing etc and charged £200...£50 each.

This is in the South East though.

i have always used etyres - no extra hidden costs, normally if you cna find it cheaper they'll match it as well but price you see is fitted, VAT everything. Quite good cause they come to you and fit

I've never had an issue and used them twice, did have a chat with the guy that turned up and told him to be veyr careful with her. I used the same guy and he loved the car so took real care. I guess it depends on who turns up but am sure if you have a quiet word with them they'll be gentle!

Are Toyo's pretty good Tyres? I notice the Megane R26.R has Toyo R888's as standard which people are raving about, i have seen some good write ups too, i usually like to stick with michelin plus they were the tyre of choice for V6 production.

i've got toyo's on the vee and honestly i can't fault them, plenty of grip, low road noise, seem to be wearing ok, quite a sticky tyre due to the sof compound, but well worth the money..

Toyo's are great, but the dimensions aren't "as per" Pilots. :s
The Toyo website used to have a conversion table to match rolling diameters, if that helps.

A long, long, long, long time ago evo magazine did some comparison tests on different tyres and the Pilot was the top performing dry weather tyre...
...it was piss poor in the wet though. [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

This is the nearest I can see from the Toyo range

Front OE 205/40/ZR18 86Y
Front Toyo 215/40ZR18 89Y RF

Rear OE 245/40/ZR18 93Y
Rear Toyo 245/40/ZR18 97Y RF
