tyre inflation can box.

Hi, does anyone know where I could get my hands on the tyre inflation can box, under the passenger seat, for a mk1.
I am the recent owner of #228, and I am trying to restore it to original condition, after it was mod molested by it's previous owner, who may have had shares in Halfords. [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

Theres a blue mk1 breaking on Ebay Im sure and I can't see that being snapped up quickly, might be worth a shot.

I don't recall the MK 1 having a box under the seat, mine had a roll of sponge strapped to the rear footwell.

PS. The tyre foam has a shelf life of 5 years.

You can get the cans at the Renault Dealer for 6 pounds a piece.

The foam which holds the cans in the MK1 is also availble at Renault's but they qouted me a whopping 300 pounds for that! [smilie=icon_eek.gif] So I think they only got one or two left and put the price up. Crazy basterds

I rang up about a few spares on that blue V6 and was told the whole car was bought and went to Poland! May see that again one day [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

You could try four ashes Renault 01902790123 (Wolverhampton). Ive used them for lots of stuf over the years, usually very helpful

Thanks, guys for all your help & comments.
Decided to make a custom box from carbon fibre, lined with aerospace grade foam. [smilie=thanks.gif]
