twin-charged 1.8L with 680whp,.....

.....50% more power-to-weight ratio than a Veyron and all running through a Toyota MR2 gearbox - it's a Lotus Exige: LINK

The road tester does not appear to do it justice - wish Harris can get his hands on this thing and give us some proper feedback! :s

"Frank Profera has spent six years making his Lotus go faster, stop shorter, and corner harder. Though it only has to move around 2,150 lbs, Frank's Lotus makes 680 wheel horsepower with a twin-charged 1.8L engine; giving it a better power-to-weight ratio than Mario Andretti's Formula One Lotus. It's an ongoing project that may never be finished, because of Frank's never-ending obsession with speed. We had to take it for a ride."

I quite like the dual fuel cell system to have "race fuel" on the go.......

Brett and Jon, some food for thought :)

Enjoy!

I see this a while back. Bonkers Lotus! Compound charging is a brilliant way to make epic power curves from small engines let alone bigger ones. He says the Venom GT isn't as quick but it is and by a long way.

This is Ronin from PH I think. Hilarious to read some of the stuff he writes. Doesn't suffer fools gladly and HATES Hennesey with a passion for some reason. Something along the lines that they're bodgers.

An extremely impressive car, though last I'd heard someone had crashed into it on the highway and it was in the garage while Frank decided what to do a la Eric Bana.
