Trophy phase 1 for sale in Bulgaria

Hi guys, it's me again.
Trophy phase 1 appeared for sale here in Bulgaria

LINK
advertisement translation:
The car was originally prepared in Renault Sport, 6-speed sequential gearbox, electronics Magneti Marelli, the engine is at 0 km after revision. As cars have 3 sets of wheels 18 "with 3 sets of slick tires (used), extra Body kit and many other parts.

The Phase 1's livery is certainly more eye catching, and at least to me, between the two, the Phase 1 looks more like a real racer....

Question: Is the spoiler on the Phase 2 Trophy original (i.e. did it not have the ducktail type like the Phase 1)?

The face lifted Trophies were fitted with a wing bracketed to the boot like 197/200 trophy cup cars.

Correct me if im wrong, but there is no phase one or phase two trophy. They trophies were all produced 1999/2000 (134 of them in total).
Renaultsport just released motorsport upgrades and the new facelift panels as the program went along.

I think the original 'phase 1' panels suit it more, would be pretty simple to interchange between the two.

Trophy perfection imo is:

bloody stunning!

That's certainly a lovely looking car Duncan :) Yeah, my understanding is the same as yours. All Trophy cars are the same, ph1 type. They were later fitted with ph2 fronts to fall inline with the current face lifted model. Much the same as the 172/182's were iirc.
A more easier conversion on the Trophy though, as there's no lights to deal with, and so no lighting mounts to change as the panels are just covering what's beneath, with light coveres as part of the Trophy wing I believe.

I believe its also the same case with the Megane V6 Trophy. I'm sure one of the guys over in Dieppe told me both use the same tubular chassis. Probably the same way Alpine have used it for their new creation.

True but there were suspension mods during the lifespan. The ph1 trophy looks best but would want the uprated spec. Not sure if the mods were introduced at the same time as the facelift or not.

I do believe this car is the same car I looked at several years ago. It was imported from Malaysia and had never, we think, raced. The give away, aside from the Michelin livery, is the Alpine badge on the chassis plate visible in one of the photos. Wer think it may be a prototype or at least one of the very first that was not sold to a team customer. I offered £15k at the time, (there was a bit of body damage back then) the car was in full Ph1 spec. I happened to be driving past the house one day and saw it being loaded onto a trailer towed by a truck with German plates.

I think there was a pair of them (hence it could be either!) and they didn't have race-spec jacking points (which supports the prototype theory). I believe they were race-circuit promo cars for corporate events with Michelin.

I must be getting old - but I've gone off the idea of acquiring a trophy V6.
