TOP MOUNTS

Can anyone remember if the front strut comes off as a complete unit? Can't remember if I need a spring compressor for the top mounts or not. I've got a feeling it;'s a case of just remove the retainer from the 'engine' bay side and the strut just drops out from there.
Also are the rears the same as the front [top-mounts]?

you can unbolt them from the top and remove with the spring still compressed, you would need a spring compressor to fully dis assemble the shocks though but not to change the top mounts

Though as much, though just wanted to be sure.

Spring compressors are ~100miles away and it would be a bit of an arse to find out I needed them afterwards...

Anyone know if the top mounts are common front to rear? I'm guessing yes, though not 100% sure

nope I am sure they are very different from memomy but have a look in the gallery section and parts diagrames, there maybe images in there, there deff is for the front

Fronts are common Clio parts, rears are v6 specific.
