This car has always fascinated me. As some of you know, I could have purchased it direct from TWR in May 2008 for the princely sum of £10k when it had about 3k miles on the clock. I didn't go for it as I thought it was a bit of an odd-ball plus I wasn't sure how mechanically sound it was. Needless to say, I regret this decision as the last I heard it had been shipped to Honk Kong for about £30k(?) having been part exchanged for just £9k(?) here for a Renault Twingo(?).

Anyway, moving on, did anyone ever get any decent pics of this superb car? Also does anyone know where / when it gained it's rear spoiler? This is the pic I was given by TWR when I enquired about it:

This is a RenaultSport Clio Mk1 V6 Prototype model, hand-built by Tom Walkinshaw Racing for Renault in Udevalla Sweden.This car was built for the chairman himself, Tom Walkinshaw to celebrate his 25 years in motorsport and presented to him as a gift. It was sprayed Illiad Blue and is one of only 8 in this colour. This version was fitted with a prototype interior and the only other surviving car of this specification was used to launch the car in 2001 at the Geneva motorshow.This other car is now in the Historic collection owned by Renault.

Car specification: 3 Litre V6 engine rear mounted so only 2 seats. 230 Bhp, built in 2001 cost new £27000.

I live in Hong Kong but not heard it seen this car here and I know most of the owners

Any way of checking if that's true - I could ask the dealer as well since they're a friendly bunch!

As an FYI there are about 10 of 24 mk1 left in Hong Kong the dealer told me with 1 blue mk2 - we did manage to get six to meet once years ago so that reminds me should try another meet!

I know exactly where the rear spoiler is from, i can also tell you who sprayed it

It was a Prima spoiler i bought and had sprayed and fitted to my car for a couple of months until a proper ducktail came up, I then flogged it to him.

This is in my opinion the best 'factory' clio v6 ever made. The interior was completly retrimmed in leather, ie dash, engine covers, door linings, seats etc. The roof lining was alacantara and the seats were fixed back recaro buckets. I'm not sure what was under the engine covers but when phil bough it over to my house for the rear baulkhead to be fitted, it was definatly quicker than my car. Phil gave me 1st refusal on this car so I put mine up on pistonhead within 10 minutes of hearing. It went a few days later and I was gutted to never see it again.
