I just tried another mod to the toe settings, I went up toe +1mm on each side. Yes I know it's a lot, and I can safely conclude,
DON'T DO IT!!
The car gets very wobbly on general slalom, unstable feeling. feels a bit like detached torsionbars. I was very surprized about the effect. On directional change it felt like the rearend wanted to pass.
(I used tirepressures from 1.9 up to 2.2)
It gets very, very tailhappy in weighttransfer corners, not worriing though, but not good at all for the haert in constant speed large corners, it starts as a bit understeer, but then just snaps to an oversteer, as if the car wants to kill you, no warning. Don't even try to lift.
So will go back a bit, 0.5mm on each side which was much, much better.
For those who don't know about camber, toe, and so on, you can read that very small differences make a huge difference in performance. What is 0.5mm difference on a wheel?? you can't see it. Well it differs between driving or being passenger behind the wheel.
It just shows the importance of wheel alignment. Again.
I have the advantage to have access to a laser allignment bench, and don't have to pay for it, but I advice everybody to check their allignment at least once a year.
