The Vee is all mine!

VII Car Care

Happy New Year guys & gals!

As you may or may not know, I was looking for a 182 to replace the 197. I had £6,000 to spend. After much searching & endless tx's with Mossy who helped me with possible Trophy buys (cheers Mossy) I found a tidy Monaco 172 advertised on cs (about an hour after the ad went up) Cut a long story short, I bought the 172 for £2400

41650 miles!
Needs some tlc but I enjoy that anyway [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

So after much thought as to what kitchen to get ;) I thought I may aswell use the cash to pay the final £4,000 of my Vee loan off. If we do lose our jobs, the vee is safe!

Im well happy, the Vee is all mine now! [smilie=yay.gif] [smilie=yay.gif]

Monies are now in my savings account so I don't blow it all on cleaning goodies in the mean time ;)

Hey Dawn, glad you have decided on a Monaco they are gorgeous cars and will suit your OCD down to the ground ;)

Glad to help regarding the Trophy search, it is a bit of a mine field looking for a decent one (I know only too well!!!), I am just glad you did your homework and didn't buy the first one you saw :approve:

And then there is the ended bonus of paying the vee off [cmilie=iconcheers.gif] [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

Now get some photos up :race:

PS - I will be watching the progress report over on CS :)

Apologies if I am misinterpreting things, or perhaps don't know the full story, but if there is a risk of losing your job, surely £4000 in the bank would come in handy?
Good news on the V being paid off, but if I lost my job the first thing to go would be the unneccessary luxuries - ie the V.

Im in a fortunate posistion of having my mortgage paid off on both houses so the vee will not need to go where as if i was still paying her off she'd have to go.

Cheers guy, im well chuffed.

Thanks Mossy, will keep you posted :)

Great news dawn! Nice having a fully paid Vee sitting there isn't it! :approve:

Ill await the "172 for sale, wanted - clio 200" thread in a couple of months ;)

you do change your daily runners often dont you. But good news on the vee being all paid off, its a good feeling to know you owe nothing on it (it did the same on mine a couple of years back).

I'll pop over and see the new one and have a coffee with you soon - the vees can be in hibernation but we can still grab a coffee right?!
