The home thread

So seems like a few here are taking on home renovations, big Steve & dre. Personally I'm a fan of DIY and renovation programs, so thought it would be a good idea to have a thread to show what people are up to.
Here's what I've been up to lately, it's not my house, it's the mother in laws, so it's not my money just time :negative.gif:

Still needs a few finishing touches and a lick of paint but don't think it's come out too bad seeing as it's not my day job .

So let's see what you guys have been up to......
Nice job you've done there Nick! I like what you did with the top corner of the shower enclosure sneaking into the celing plasterboard to use a standard screen (y)

I have to laugh when a thread like this appears on a Car forum, just show's were all getting older & saddled with that House responsibility & not just pouring all of our money into new Turbo's etc.. :i-m_so_happy.gif::grin.gif:
@Dre5gtt , your kitchen has made me think about glass splash backs in mine, it's the only room we've not done yet, mind you the mrs is like :punish.gif:, still need the finishing touches in our bathroom first!

@Big Steve - Raider , you know the saying measure twice, lol. I got carried away and didn't take any before photos, the original screen was a plastic affair which had been trimmed to fit, seemed like the best option rather than redoing all the pipe work.

I think it's nice to know you're not the only one wasting money on a house when you could be investing money in old French cars for the future, I got that the right way didn't i? :grin.gif:

Sometimes I get a bit down seeing other people crack on with their cars as I don't spend much time on my 5 due to grown up stuff :read.gif:
My daughters room. Did everything myself save for the plastering.

My downstairs bathroom, ably assisted by some of the 21TOC, went from this

to this (latest photo I have here but now everything is completed with shower cubicle etc)

And a new central heating boiler fitted, in the kitchen, moved from upstairs. New pipework, chimney out the roof, gas pipes, ripped the kitchen ceiling down and reboarded 13 hours start to finish (as well as the roof repair too!)

The Roofer bit's certainly right then.... I'm guessing you're also a little plump? :i-m_so_happy.gif:

Good job with all that Lead BTW, as Dave suggests, if the Pikey's get up there, you'll have the fun of doing that job another day also :punish.gif:
