We were invited to an OG battle the other week and Specky took the car, unfortunately we'd only finished putting Pure Drivetrain Solutions stg2 internals in two days prior so we had no idea what would happen(we built the box inhouse to save shipping and to learn the ZF8HP), still on an XHP Stg3 the car wasn't going into launch mode for some reason hence him sitting on the limiter for the 1/4 mile races. With this happening pressure had got to him so the rolls weren't any better, he'd not kept anywhere near the pace car so of course lost on that. The car did however post a faster 100-200 than the STG2+ car by about 0.25s so it wasn't all doom!
We've since been testing with working launch control on a new transmission tune and can't wait to go back to pod with some grip!
Well done to Specky for taking the car, it's not easy when it's not a car your used to and sometimes shit happens. We will be back once it's all finished fully! Hats off to Tom Wrigley, that's some build! And Tommy at Velocity, just shows how far you can push with port meth if you've got some balls!
