Tailpipe question

What is the diameter of the exhaust tips on OEM exhausts? Only asking as I'm looking to get some original look tips fabricate for the Janspeed I have on. Be good to go to them with the info for getting quotes etc

Inside diameter (tip end): 50 millimeter
Length shiny part 60 millimeter
Complete Length till silencer: 105 - 110 millimeter

When I originally bought an "after-market" V6 backbox - it was for 2 factors: the OEM had become discoloured and the OEM tail-pipes looked like pea-shooters.
Seems strange to want to change...

Mine came with it on and it sounds immense, but the slash cut tips look wrong in my eyes. Slash cuts if the exhaust is under the bumper - maybe. But when they stuck out of the middle I think the OEM look is better that's all. Should be a cheap fix too ***crosses fingers and toes***

I'd go for the larger diameter if I was in your shoes, looks a lot better

Standard tailpipes remind me of Austin Powers and the Liz Hurley bot rifle barrels.

Are standard really the pea shootery? I'll be honest I can't remember the last time I saw a V6 other than mine. I'll maybe see if they can offer some up so I can decide if a slightly larger diameter looks better.

Ultimately I just want rid of the slash cuts

I hear what your saying Danny, the slash cut isn't to my taste either.

Mine are slightly larger than standard being an Orbisoud box, worth getting them larger I think

Totally agree with you re the slash cut tips - doesn't look right at all.

I like the Orbisoud tips - they have resonators (mesh) which adds to their uniqueness.
