Well Chunk and I got the vees off for their annual service this morning, after being let down last minute by Arnold Clark in Edinburgh (not impressed with these chaps at all and wont be visiting them again. ever.), we made a last minute desperate call to Park's Renault in Dunfermline. These guys were excellent, very accomodating even rearranging their morning's work so they could service both cars at the same time for us, and didnt have any issue with us hanging about in the workshop whilst they did the work which always gives me confidence that they are going to do a proper job! Anyway only got a couple of crappy pics which is a shame because the two cars looked fantastic jacked up side by side!!

Had a brisk drive up this morning at 6.45am....... :race:

But then the heavens opened on the way home and we drove nice and sensible on the way back, mainly because of the rediculous amount of standing water on the road and the fact that I had just been informed that #442 has only got 2mm of tread left on the rear boots.......... [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Looks like another visit to the tyre suppliers is in order..........they are having a good week this week as I just bought four 20 inch Pirellis for the Cayenne this week..... [smilie=icon_cry.gif]

Forgot to mention....there was one particular moment today that I wish I had caught on camera....

About 2 hours into the service we were hanging around in the showroom, and happened to check the job sheets we were given. On there was a mention of a wash and vacuum as part of the service, we immediately told the lady on the service desk to make sure they didnt do that (the thought of some grease monkey attacking the vees with an old gritty sponge was fairly terrifying!). Anyway we immediately went round to the workshop and here was chunks vee, sitting outside looking very 'washed', panic set in and he immediately set about checking the faultless paintwork on #227 .................and it was then that it caught my eye..........the 'valeter' had now moved on to a renault scenic, and was furiously grinding the dirt off it using a BRUSH!!!!!!! Anyway the look on Chunk's face when I pointed it out to him was an absolute classic......he looked like he was about to explode in a fit of rage and find the nearest heavy blunt object to use as revenge

Anyway the service manager must have seen us watching this guy, and watched Chunks face getting a deeper and deeper shade of red by the second, and came running over to explain that he had actually washed our cars himself, and there hadnt been a brush or sponge in sight. He didnt think we would have appreciated the full 'valeting' (ie.brushing) service!!

Good service all round...........but god I wish I'd caught that on camera!!!!

Ha! Good job! V6 00 FAT! Good plate!

I could do with getting mine serviced tbh! But as it's not on the road thats presenting me with some issues!
