Well spotted! That's a significant car if it's the one the vendor claims it to be. Philippe Touren did indeed finish 8th in a R5 Turbo on the 1982 Monte Carlo rally. Forget the 305BHP claim though. I would expect 185/200 BHP from that unit (which would have been about right for a Cevennes).

Bidding's only to Euro 15K so far with 1 day 8 hours to go. Shame it's not in UK, because I would be tempted to take a look.

Just all seems a bit to good to be true for me... No feedback, new E-Bayer, "Must Sell" etc. Also don't really think that an E-Bay deadline is the correct way to sell something that needs some research like this.

If it is all above board and the car is validated, then it's a fine purchase for someone.

I believe it is/was a fraudulent item...

The item is no longer valid. I bet it was one of Carclassic.com's cars - I've seen it before where one of their cars is advertised on eBay. The vendor gets the pictures from their site and purports to be selling the car.

Not good - too many people out there trying to make a fast buck!

Keep on dreaming, a cevennes with history for 15k. Now adays a normal turbo2 goes for at least 24k in France.
They all seem to go to Spain.
