super car sunday at brookland 15 july

Tempting, the weather looks good. As I imagine the organisers won't classify the Clio v6 as a 'Supercar' despite it's less than conventional engine lay out and styling do visitors just use the normal entrance for the Brooklands museum?

I went to the last one in the V6 ! Best event I've been to and it was freezing cold and pouring with rain. If the weather is good I cannot imagine how great it will be ??
I'm gonna go, there were other V6's there last time along with every other type of cars you have dreamed about.
People loved the V6 there and the organisers wanted me to park it next to a GT40 on the circuit.

Don't worry about them not thinking its a supercar ! They love them !

That sounds good, I just didn't want to arrive at the gate only to be told to turn around and go park in the visitors area. Is anybody up for meeting somewhere local before hand so we can enter as a group, perhaps the Tesco car park where we all met for last years PistonHeads Sunday Service at Mercedes-Benz World?

Also I checked the Brooklands website for details:

Visitor parking is in The Heights off Wellington Way - please note that our normal visitor car park at Mercedes-Benz World is not in operation for this event. Supercars will enter the Museum via the Campbell Gate off Brooklands Road.

Oops !!!!

I read this as goodwood !!!!! Idiot I am !!!!!!
Don't know about Brooklands but if they turned me away in the V6 they will get an earful ! And a cancelled order on my replacement AMG !

Let me know details of meeting place ??

Ah right, no problem.
I have sent the organisers an email just to double check anyway, so fingers crossed I will get a response :).

*Edit* UPDATE!

Great news, Phil (the organiser) has replied to my email already, if only all events organisers were this quick to respond, and it's great news:

William,

You are welcome to come along and display your cars. We could probably run some in the hill climb.

Regards,

Phil

So If anyone else is keen to meet before hand I think I will aim to be at in the Tesco's car park KT13 0XF over near the petrol station like last time around 9.00am and leave 9.30am for the short drive round to the Campbell Gate entrance on Brooklands Road.

:) Great, I will be leaving in half an hour as I need to stop on the way to get some petrol. See you soon.

Had a great morning at Brooklands with Will, Duncan, Paul and ofcourse Patchall.. Thanks guys for sorting it out. Another event for the 2013 calendar [smilie=yay.gif]

Sorry I had to head off a little early, not my usual style, but had company arriving that afternoon and had to be back. Next meet... Clio Sport Saturday! 8)

Was a good day and good to meet up with everyone, thanks for bringing the shirt Shaun didn't think you'd remember ,very pleased with it :approve:

Yeah it was a great day out, getting to sit in the Black Enzo and have a real good look around it's interior was a real highlight.
With a bit more planning for next year I dare say we could get a better pitch (maybe even in the sunshine Simon ;)). And I definitely fancy trying the hill climb, I would have had a go in the afternoon but my friend needed dropping off home before it started.
It was good to meet Shaun, Duncan and Simon again and nice to meet you for the first time Paul. I will upload some pictures later on :).

Was nice to see you guys & nice to meet you Paul. A decent venue for a meet up for sure.

Theres talk of a breakfast meet there 12th August on CS: LINK

Ive got some pics from Sunday, will upload them tonight :approve:

Here is a small selection of pictures I took on the day, If they are too big I can remove them. I would have reduced the size of them but it wrecked the quality :ihatpcs:.
