Does anybody know any Sun garage equipment engineers? I've got an oldish (manufactured 2005) ex mot DGA 2500 emissions tester that i'd like to use at home, but it's just gone out of calibration, and it now won't give me any values in the free measuring mode. I need a friendly engineer to help me bypass the calibration in exchange for beer so I can use it.
As far as I can gather, it's a windows registry setting that needs updating, but the values are not your usual 1's and 0's, it a string of gobbledygook. I think that there must be some kind of utility that updates the registry with the required settings, but this is likely not given out.
Yes, I could phone snap on and book an engineer to come out and calibrate my machine, but then i'd need that doing every six months which seems excessive when i'm only using it at home on my own car probably once a year.
Here's hoping.....
