steering wheel

will a mk2 172 steering wheel fit my v6 mk1?
any ideas?

Its been done before, so yes is your answer. However, I dont know if it was a totally straight swap, regards wiring and splin locating.
I'm sure someone with first hand experience will be along shortly with all the details.

Colour code the cap and its got to be better than a falling to bit's mark 1 wheel??

fitted wheel all ok, no probs with wiring etc. and just purchased a silver insert for £10, wheel was £60 and in very good condition, so altogether didnt cost a great deal.
