Starter motor issue?

Hello everyone just wondered if someone can help me, I think my starter motor has give up the ghost, it just makes a clicking noise I checked my battery had just under 12v the battery is 5yrs plus so decided to buy a new one but still just a clicking noise, if I have a rough idea where the motor is I might attempt to jack her up tomorrow and have a butchers
