STANDARD RIDE HEIGHT PH2

This has probably been dealt with before but here goes,
i have changed the front rubber donuts at the top of the struts and have noticed a massive difference in height of the bumper from the road, possibly up to 15-20 mm. now really i should have measured the height before i started but forgot, so what i am after is the measurement of a std car for the front bumper to the road, if i can i would like a few different std cars measured just to average it out.
my reasons for changing the rubbers were the car felt nervous at high speed, 120+, i had it aligned and it was within spec although i had toe to the car in more to get straight line stability right. the rubbers that came out looked alright but upon close inspection had sagged internally and they were off centre when looking at the tops. possibly why i have had so much contact with road humps. the car feels totally different now and is booked in for alignment tomorrow.
the actual measurement i have with the car empty is 125mm to the front lip of the bumper the car is a std ph2.
any help here apperciated.

To be fair, I wouldn't be a bit suprised if most v6 front bumpers are 5mm either way out of "perfect" alignment i.e down to a slight bit of contact with something or purely down to Renault making them slightly different here and there. Wouldn't you be better measuring it from the front sill/floor pan to the floor?

Trouble is its not the sill that keeps crashing into the road.
