Excellent stuff Shaun. Look forward to loads of pictures and commentary about the event and the cars taking part.

I did what I did two years ago and ran out pads front ones this time. Once bitten twice stupid! Apologies to Mark for not getting him home last night. Luckily for me a foam tyre filling canister thing blew up in a french vee on saturday so cut a long story short his vee was at the Renault down the road. Mr Dell and I went in this morning to see if they had any in stock, they didnt. No dealerships do as they are ordered in from Dieppe. So we tried a cunning plan and tried to ask if we could take the front pads of the french vee and pop it on mine and order new ones for his for tomorrow. Unfortunately it was a no go plus the owner of the other vee was not around. As we pulled out of the parking spot he suddenly materialised in front of us!! What a lovely bloke. Spoke perfect English so we agreed to do the swop and buy him new pads and I would pay the labour to fit his once they came in. Unfortunately Renault wouldnt do it as its illegal and they dont fit second hand car parts (no guarantee). Bummer. So we asked if we could change it over ourselves and borrow any tools we might need and they agreed!! The rest of the guys akin to the A-Team turned up and off and away job done on their forecourt probably quicker than Renault could do!!
The French guy was so nice cos he had to go to work and left us to do it. Once all was done we returned his keys to the service desk and we were off :)

The price of pads from RPD are £170. In France I paid 360 euros for the pads and 93 euros to fit them tomorrow. Bit of a rip-off!! Luckily I already have new front discs at home to put on and will have to buy new pads from RPD.
Oh well my fault should have taken pads with me or at least checked before hammering around on track!! Hardcore track driver I am haha!! Pads who needs them!!
Glowing blue they were on the way back to hotel!!
After trying to save money with Mark coming with me I have lost a load!! Sods law
Thanks to everyone involved, great company and Jane get the pics up!!

SHIT ! Shit! Shit ! Absolutely gutted for you mate ! When I removed my pads and discs , I tried to sell all 4 sets of pads on Ebay (used , but hardly) those red EBC (is it?) Red jobbies ... front were like new (fitted by Jamier 27) (only 2,000 miles ) and the rear were what Duncan had fitted by SG (only 4,000 miles) ... didn't even get the 0.99 p starting price on Ebay ! ... threw them away after the non- sale at auction ! Gutted for you mate ! 99p plus the postage would have been fine ! (I even included a set of brand new pins (because the old ones fitted so much more easily) So very very sorry ... JJ
As long as the new pads you've bought are genuine , they will be fine mating against your brand new discs ... I spent a long time using my new brakes accomidatingley to make sure I had a clean grip/surface on my new discs and it worked ... all 8 sides of the discs are wiped clean with one touch of the brakes !
Unfortunately , due to being a dickhead and spinning her round in the gravel car park of the marina , I have picked up several stone grooves on the discs so I will now have to replace the pads once again .
Glowing blue they were on the way back to hotel!!
