Need a little advice.

Need to change my speed from Miles to KM - can anyone tell me is it just a straight unplug and plug the new one in or does anything else need doing?

only guesing here. i believe that it is a straight swap apart from your milege wouldnt transfer over and the new unit wud revert to zero, to transfer it across ud need an examiner or go down to ur dealers and ask them to reset your milege to original

What I mean is that the mileage will still be in miles and not kilometers.

Why do you want to change,

Speedo already shows both M.P.H. amd K.P.H. ?

He wants to change because he is in Hong Kong and has imported a Vee from Europe and wants to change the clocks to KPH as fitted to LHD vees in the far East. Kinda the reverse that I am doing changing my LHD clocks to MPH ones (as mine is from Hong Kong)

The KPH speedos as fitted to LHD Vees are completely different ie the are in KPH with no MPH readings. Everything on the trip computer is in KPH and Litres/100km etc as opposed to MPG. So they are NOT the same....KPH clocks do not show MPH on the main dial face however MPH clocks do show Kilometres in smaller digits.

If you change the MPH to a KPH speedo your new speedo will read the mileage (in kilometres) on that speedo and vice versa when changing a KPH to MPH speedo.

Scott has a set of MPH (UK) clocks for me and he informs me that it is a straight swap however your reading will change accordingly and you will not read the same mileage on the new clocks.

Yes, no point changing the speedo. I am in HK as well and I did some research previously. Also, you have to take out the console in order to do the job. After you put back in, there is a risk that rattle might occur.

We have both KM and Mile reading in the speedo. What I need to do is to get used to the reading. That's it and save me money.
