Sold the Williams - need shoulder

So fellow Vee owners, need your moral support tonight.
Sold my Clio Williams and it gets uplifted tomorrow. Guy seems very genuine & sure it is going to good home .... but I loved my Williams & it was the car that taught me what wonderful machines Renault could make. Sure some of you have parted with machines that you feel you should have kept !!!

Hi David,
Sad day for you... but I'm sure it's going for the right reasons.
I seem to remember the Williams winning an evo magazine hot-hatch retrospective group test a good few years ago - and it was in exalted company. It is a very special car.
That said, none of those that particpated were quite as special as the Vee - so I hope you can take some solace in that. :approve:
Regards
Kett

Yep, don't look bad..........just look at what you still have.

We've all let cars go and then thought, "Oh S**T" !

I sold my Renault Spyder (LY) about 6 years ago for a healthy £6K profit............I still today think it was a mistake.

But hey, I've a Vee and at least I can say I've had one of those, a bit like you and the Williams...........another ticked off the list before we can drive no more.

Best of Luck :approve:

Better to look at than drive IMO... I bought a bit of a nail tbh, but still think they are insanely cool!

I was 17 when the Williams 1 was launched and worked in a small Renault dealer, I'd just passed my test and was thrown the keys to one, it was obviously a bloody awesome thing to drive at that age!

I couldn't agree more Ali.

Mine was immaculate when I sold it and yes I could stand and stare at it in awe but just couldn't trust it to get me anywhere apart from the end of the drive or on a AA flat bed, lol.

In fact I will dig a photo out.
