Hi all,

OpenTrack had posted that they were going to do a Bank Holiday special via their socials, this turned out to be an all day session for £79 (now showing as £149) to drive the Snetterton 300 Circuit.

Please note that this has now SOLD OUT but do keep your eyes peeled for any cancellations, which I assume will then require a non-discounted and full price as listed on the website https://opentrack.co.uk/view-dates

If you're able to get to the circuit come and say hello 🤩

Wow this day came around very quickly indeed, turned out to be a good day!

My journey started on Tuesday evening and took me almost 6hrs to get to the hotel via some very scenic roads across, I didnt realise at the time but I passed through Snake Pass - which was totally wasted on me at 5pm in December. I should have gone M6/M42/A14, but I didnt, anyway...

Wednesday morning started clear with some sun with a greasy track surface that didnt really improve until the last part of the day - there were the usual delays due to spinners, then someone leaking gearbox oil across 3/4mile of track. It got surprisingly dry/grippy toward the end before the fog rolled in, really good day with 48 laps in the bag 👍

I spent most of my time out with passengers including Daves young adults and our own IT security helpdesk guy @Duncan.

I would love to do a few laps in warmer and grippier conditions so look forward to a revisit. It was good to thrust the Bruiser around a circuit, which has reaffirmed my thinking going forward regarding road based setup as the car is my daily. Gearbox mapping for this is great, Michelin PS5 tyres were good and Open Track Days are a top team.

Was brilliant to see @Spooky @DaveL485 @rogerreno and extended gang there for the day. Man hugs on arrival and constant chat and banter with all until I had to leave👌

Weather was for the time of year better than I thought but grip was limited 😂

Great to get out even if only as passenger and genuinely impressed with the 340i (not std 😎) and certainly not slow even in proper sketchy conditions

Alas due to track closures and having to leave early to collect kids did not get to take up the offer to go out with Dave or Roger.......next time gadget 👍

Never took many pics between laughing, running about and on track but will have a look over the weekend.......not sure everyone needs to really see Dave test fit in the BMW boot 😂
