I was trying my best to suggest that "I have one" using hand signals, im pretty sure i just looked like a head case

anyway looks real clean

Andy,

yeh that was me, just bought sy51 fvl - my first v6

to be fair you did look like you were some complete nut case, my interpretation of the hand signals was, spool up the rear wheels and leave two big black lines down inghram street, which was a option i decided (at 7pm on a busy street) not to pursue

fvl is pretty clean, i don't like the clear lights, so they won't be on for long

i rescued her from a garage in glasgow after doing a straight swop for a boring but reliable 225hp audi TT, which i'd owned for 2 months and hated

there were a number of good reasons not to buy her, no cambelt history, almost no mileage in the last 2 years, shady/perished tyres and a iffy looking service history and what turns out to be a pretty dodgy gear box but after a one hour long run through back roads in the lake district last weekend on dry roads pretty much flat out it all made sense

there's plenty of work to be done, new tyres have been fitted as start - so i wouldn't mind hooking up with the glasgow based members for some tips

cheers

ben

Welcome Ben, sounds like another vee rescued :approve:

Checl out the local meets section - a clan gathering of the Scottish Vees taking place next week, be good to have you along :)

I First saw that vee in one of its 3 garages over the last 3 yrs! First one up in Turiff then mount vernon cars and anniesland which would explain the no miles in that time.
!

Welcome Ben, good to see that vee finally being driven, I had a look at it a few months ago and it was in a pretty sorry state (as were most of the cars there), hopefully you will get it back to a decent standard.

Hi ben, just got mine all done. Swing by the office and I will show u it.

we are going for a blast on sat if ya wanna come, just tell that pervert Ali. We can be v6 buddies :)

told you i looked like an idiot
