A few recent posts - particularly one about the repair of hard to find front bumpers and also my recent problems finding front struts- got me thinking.
When we get new parts fitted, should we think about keeping the old ones. Perhaps as certain parts become harder to find new we will be very grateful if old ones can be overhauled by specialists and keep us all on the road.
Just aware that my front bumper was probably repairable, yet I let it go to the landfill once my replica was found.
What do you think ? Which parts should we be watching for?
Perhaps a club shed of those rarer parts!

Definitely. Although there are already some active wombles on here with their attics rammed with gear.
I think the real annoyance is that there are surprisingly few shared components between Mk I and Mk II - that arrangement would have simplified the process. Must have hit Renault for a small fortune in manufacturing costs too!

Could we start a list of known parts no longer available from Renault?
Might be of interest to a few of us ;)
