So I'm sure you're all aware of the obvious trend, but that's totally down to the quality work and awesome customer service from Scott [cmilie=iconcheers.gif] which is exactly why I'm posting this!
There's no point lying. For various boring reasons I won't go into, my Vee sailed passed its cambelt anniversary *cough* a few years back. Then once I'd missed that I felt bad and so reduced my use of it which then meant it was less of a priority and so time ticked by and so I drove it even less and time ticked by even more. Cue a car with oil passed its best before date, a cambelt overdue, an impending MOT and some failed windscreen washers and so I finally pulled my finger out and gave Scott a call. I've not previously made the journey to Wiltshire, but he's actually only 90 minutes from me up the A34 and down the M4.
Whilst he was about the cambelt/auxbelt/waterpump and general service it seems daft not to get various other things sorted ... so I had the clutch done, got my front suspension mounts replaced because (whilst they didn't impact the MOT) I knew they were shot, finally had my long smashed fog lamps done, plus other stuff including obviously the windscreen washers. Biggest gotcha was a seized rear track rod which gave up and needed rebuilding.
Scott was super communicative, sent me great status updates and pictures, was smart about things in support of my allocated budget, was happy to give me lifts to/from the station and then dealt with my final curveball of bringing forward collecting the car from Monday to Saturday at the last moment!
Bonus when picking it up today was getting to finally meet Shaun in person, and we spent a number of hours gassing whilst Scott (and his Dad) finished sorting things. Vee was running sweet as on the way home, even if the drive was totally miserable and rather edgy given horrible rain, lots of standing water, and then freaking repeated instances of the carriageway being covered in deep hailstones!
Anyhow, as if the gushing above wasn't already obvious, I really can't recommend Scott enough! We're very lucky to have a specialist so purposefully focused on the Vee, and that focus brings real advantages. Things that somebody else would find on back order with Renault leaving you high and dry are things that Scott's got to hand or can deal with because he's dealt with it before. Add in his attention to detail and approach to doing things properly, and it's no surprise he's grown the positive reputation he has.
Watch the miles I do in my now fresh feeling Vee rapidly rise back up [smilie=yay.gif].
