Installing Seats with No Airbags ?

Would anyone know if this is an easy install - I'm thinking about "Dash Lights" shouting at me all day long ?

Or is there a simple fix if this is the case :s

It's a Phase II and I know there's an option to switch off the Passenger Side, but id that just for the Dash Air Bag ?

So many questions so I do apologise.

Many thanks..............

Hi,

Not a problem at all. You need a resistor in place to turn the airbag light off.

Plenty and plenty more threads on here about it

no need for resistors, take to someone who has renault's CLIP diagnostics computer and they can turn off the dash lights by changing the vehicles settings = non airbag seats :D

you basically tell the body computer its a base model 1.2 with no airbgs in the seats, hey presto, and before you panic it doesn't affect the car, i know some V6 owners are a bit precious! ;)

Finally someone who shares my opinion! [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

The air bag system is fully configurable so you can disable any sensor/actor individually.

BUT the resistors are 10 pence each and take 5 mins to fit.

For me CLIP is the better solution, takes 3 mins and is for free anyway. But feel free to make this choice yourself! :)

As for the ph1 I'm not sure if it's the same.
