Sealant

Anyone know of any "new" type engine sealants on the market?

Have always used gold and blue before or at work RTV, but never been really impressed compared to a gasket.

Trying to avoid a £210 bill for plenum gasket kit if I can.

Steve.

Is there no one out there who can laser cut you a pair of PTFE gaskets up? There is always the Weetabix box and silicone route! Lol

I don't think there will be any gain to cost of PTFE in the heat soak back there.

I only have a Kellogg's corn flakes box, do you know if they work?

On a serious note am planning on using the lowest two rubber gaskets again as the look fine so it's only the paper type to replace cause am fitting spacers.

PTFE would be fine regardless of heat soak. Would mean you can remove, refit, remove, refit, remove . . . . . you get the idea. Lol

Kelloggs card is to flimsy. The uprated Cars 2 wholegrain stars use the best material. Fit and forget in that case.

I also have lots of different thickness of gasket paper at work.

If I sent you some could you cut them for me to please?
