Tiny Tim

Right, my mates having some work done on his GTT at Dynotec... he's organised a RR day with Glen on 24th Feb... depending on numbers confirmed to that event, we can either join in or he's willing to set up another 21t specific event say, the following month.

Please post if you're DEFFINATELY up for it (date dependant of course). :)

its worth it

glenss advice is worth its weight in gold!!!!

i'll be there in something even if its just to annoy the old bugger

Last time my actuator disintergrated on his RR... be nice to get a decent readout.

Of 98bhp

Shame he ain't got 4x4 rollers but i may come down numbers dependent coz i would like to bugg Glen for some info and poss give him some work.

I'd be up for a RR session in March. Should have car finished, and on road by then (fingers crossed). Be a good test run before we head off to France

If it goes ahead, i'll try to sort out somewhere local for some bits to eat and drink.

Anyoneknow of any local srtip joints?

Well, She wants more power out of the old phase one so I'm going to be FORCED to modify it, to a similar spec of my old grey ph1.

So yes, I wanna know it's got 230+bhp with no more than bolt on's :friend:

Ooo a forum all to myself! :king:

Keep the name coming people... it couldbe the difference between trying to share a day with those 'orrible little chavs in rtoc and their up-turned skips or a seperate day full of 21's

where abouts would this be m8? if i ever get my overboost sorted properly would be nice to get it rr'd and set up.
recently found one near me,lps autos..i never knew about not sure if its a 4wd though or just 2wd.

Bring it anyway and i'll fix it on the day :)

We even may have the management up and running by then so we could get a std ecu and standalone run cos its still an interchangeable plugin format.
I'm into it, cash allowing.

Sorry, should have clarified...

Its a 2WD RR... address is:

Plantation Farm , Wolverton , Tadley , Hampshire RG26 5RP

Near Reading basically for those outside anywhere nearish.. makes sense to me.

Dont worry if when you arrive you get approached by a farmer with a shotgun... its in the outback ;)

mmmm

should be ok, should be fully mapped by then. i will bring my laptop with me, then i can see if glen approves of my map. are these good rollers??? not being rude, but its not like pts is it. oh and later in the year, i will organise a rolling road day, just this side of the bridge. how does 1400 bhp 4wd dastek rollers sound;)

Lets face it Craig we aint gonna all agree on rollers till we find a bench dyno, roll up, pluck out the lumps and hook em up PMSL :king: :king:

mmm

im happy with most rollers mate, but im taking the one down here as my benchmark, its state of the art, 1400bhp 4wd dastek jobbie, and the guys know what they are doing. thats why i took mine there before so i can see before and after managment. but i will still go on other rollers, but i think the ones down here are spot on, so thats where i will accept my figures from.
as said many times, ive set my car up for the way i want it, i could get much higher bhp figures by doing it another way (cam etc) but thats not for me, rather a 300bhp figure that usable than 350bhp thats all top end. if people get bigger figures than me thats cool, but if they beat me 1/4 mile thats when i will worry:D :D

All i can tell you is the rollers arent used anywhere as near as much as the likes of PTS etc.

I trust Glen, he's a god with a C1J block and knows alot about general tuning. I must admit though, no-one is more of a sceptic than me when it comes to rollers, i just thought it would be a good idea for a meet up and laugh.

oh, and one last thing... what figures were people getting at PTS? I went there when i first got the car and hit 211bhp/256lbs

Thats about right for your higher compression lump, a good torque figure. They pull like hell through the range cos of that.
I Got 237BHP and 255lb/ft, both at 4800rpm, with over 200lb/ft from 3100 to 5800. GOD I miss that car.:( :( :(

As long as its next year then yep a 4wd roller day would be loverly.

As for using any rollers i don't trust them but they are good for a quick guide between cars on the day and of course bragging rights:D
