Can a RE 036 be fitted in place of the RE 009?
If so does you need any changes or additions?

What are the modifications needed to replace the 009 or 036 with the RE299?

Who told you about the re299?

You need to replace part of the loom and replace the tdc with another unit sensor for it to work properly. :wink:

I read about the 299 from reading a few French sites.
I went looking as I knew that I did not have a 009 on the Cleveland, So I just went and had a look and it is a RE299.
Looks like it has been on the car for a while.

An 036 fitted to a Gordini turbo/ non Le car turbo car runs and drives but not without fault , you would need to make changes to the Gordini loom I guess to create the slight diff in looms from Gordini to lecar spec as the 2 wiring diagrams show the changes, my car fitted with 036 ran and drove but when you give it some beans there was massive backfiring and juddering on boost, which I'm not sure of the cause? Shame as I wanted the 036 built in rev limiter.

Loom and module is expensive from renault dont know if it's worth it.
