renault 11

putting new clutch in the renault 11 this week with new fork arm and pivot bush should get a nice soft clutch pedal now I hope so anyway.

you fitting the extended clutch arm?

I'm thinking about it as I am doing the box anyway and have the long arm and bracket form the old scenic.

Should not need it with the new pivot bush going in. Its not to bad now but dont fancy the cable snapping at the wrong time and place, hopeing to go to france with it soon.

well my main reason for fitting the extended arm is not so much for the lighter pedal more for the reduced load on the cable and pedal.

I have a heavy duty Sachs job in it (can't recall if its the gtt or volvo turbo one) which was about the same/tiny bit heavier as the worn original valeo unit so it snot heavy, certainly lighter than a lot of old trucks.

Make sure the arm is ok, if the pivot bush is worn to the metal the arm will be worn and sometimes cracked.
