Removing Quicksilver Exhaust..........

ClioSpyder

New Member
I've just had a look at my Quicksilver exhaust as I want to remove..........

Now is it just me or can this be removed without taking the back bumper off ?

It looks "doable" to me, any thoughts ?

Yes it's doable mate, just a bit heavy when it releases from the 2 clamps so take the weight at the centre of the back box with a well placed jack ;)

Thanks for all the tips Gents.

Yes I know that statement is nearly as bad as "Pulling the rubbers off will be hardest bit" [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Or, like on my car, the rubbers might fall apart in your hands!

Long ratchet arm extension and someone to lend a hand whilst you unscrew it I found was the easiest.

And become a contortionist for the bolts in the far corner...

yea the corner bolts are a challenge, having said that i took my bumper off, cleaned the exhaust, turned the grilles upside down and put it all back together all from my wheelchair! so its definately do-able

Removed the back Bumper today to remove the Exhaust..............now all sorted :approve:

My question is the small box that sits above the Exhaust that I'm guessing is called the "Collector Box", if this a Cat or just another Baffle section ?

Just wondering what it does as I was thinking of removing etc etc.

As always learning as I go along............
