Hi

A couple of pictures of progress so far.

Thanks to Shaun ( Guillaume) for the photos of the front under bonnet area at the Goodwood breakfast meeting on Sunday, it helped with were the odd wire went etc, if you did not go you missed out on some great cars, inc a Bugatti Veyron, ( not sure about the colour though) 1000's of people there, Ferrari's are so common, well they were there, Clio V6's are much more exclusive only 2, they must be the cheapest way to get you car in to the display area. They were sending Porsche's and Ferrari's etc to the general parking area, hee, hee.

Front of the car now sprayed in D61 Technical Grey, all the suspension, rebuilt and repainted, calipers reconditioned with new pads, pins and paint, all the brackets repainted, even replaced the pop rivets for the retaining clip fittings ( how annal is that ) engine still go back in, so loads left to do.

I hoping that Jay @ jaytechracing will be painting it, if we can do a deal. ????

That's all now for now

Cheers

Steve

Loving the commitment and eye for detail your putting in to this Steve :approve:
Much respect to you sir.
Quite nice to see a vee so naked for a change ( for some strange reason LOL )
All the best with the rebuild and hope to see the finished job at a meet or two.

Steve

theres a fantastic painter down tonbridge i know with his own place save u a few miles

No, just red Hammerite, but it chips really easy, hope some heat my harden it up once it moves and I can use the brakes.

I heard back from two of the old owners so far, no useful info though.

Great news, Jay's now lined up to do the paint, well chuffed, so I hope all your recommendations are true.

It seems the car has been off road since about end of January 2007 hence the mileage of 18,000.

Steve
