rear discs quadra

none left...ive just bought a quadra and luckily my rear discs look in good nick so i dont have to worry about it for a while.

your best bet is to get an adapter plate made up so that the rear hubs/calipers can accept 2wd rear discs.

Dave will have more info on this issue im sure

only the rear are different, they have a different offset compared to 2wd - that said, members have managed to spacer the caliper so the work with regular 2wd rears.

Wrong. The retaining screws are in a different place, the depth of the disc hub is accentuated, the thickness of the hub facing bit if thicker AND the hole in the middle of the disc where the driveshaft nut is is bigger.

hmm I had forgotten, been a while since I've looked at them as I dont need to do the conversion anymore

:-p

Cheers DAVEL485& DANB....... reason I am asking is because my Quadra has had a sticky rear caliper for a while and wondering if the rear disc is now knackered. I am sure these discs must have been fitted somewhere else as Renault never seem to like making things specific. For example my A610, my dashboard top vents where cracked, no longer available from Alpine....... after a lot of ground work I came to find out they were off another mass produced Renault, only difference colour, A610 black the other dark grey.

Another question for you guys..... front & rear shocks specific to Quadra?

Fronts no. Same as the 2wd.

Rear's yes. The 19 16v has a similar rear set up to the quadra. It's a spring and damper, not a torsion bar set up, which is on the 2wd.

I think you're mistaken on the 19's. I've been under a few different 19's including a couple of 16v's and none have had a coil spring on the rear. I've actually replaced the rear torsion beam several times on the 19's I had.

It could just be the rear damper that fits. I have some koni ones on my quadra. If you pm johnspin he can get gaz coilovers for the 21 for a very good price.

well they are in a new renault box. they are at my bodyshop, ill dig them out tommorow and have a look.
