Rear brake caliper squeaking????????

Changed my rear pads last week, using standard mintex oem type. Although i suspected i've only just confirmed the n/s rear caliper has a loud squeak, as if the caliper is slightly binding, its pretty loud as you can hear it as you go along, and with the window down and slow speeds its embarassing. Its not a continious drone, just i imagine with the slight run out of the disc.

The strange thing is i've had the pads out again, and can't find anything, slight pressure on the brake and the nosie disappears, the wheel seems to turns ok, when jacked up, i've anti seize paste on the back of the pads etc. The disc if anything is slighty thicker than the other, suggesting there's no history of brake binding? I've even filed a small lead on the new pads to avoid any high spots on the disc rim?

Question does it matter where the final position of the piston rests, this after you turned it back to compensate for the new pads, i remember on some cars, the piston notches had to be lined up in a certain direction?

Any comment appreciated, other than buy some ear plugs :s

Further checks tonight suggest my n/s rear disc is warped, just rotating the disc against the brake pads throws out at least 1mm.
Anyone else had a similar problem with warped rear dsics?

Thanks, as it appears to be only the one disc, and its still within tolerance, i've whippped the disc off and going to give a light skim, if it works i save the money, it doesn't, then i gues i have to stump up for a new set of discs. Hopefully get it done and fit back tomorrow night, lets see......

Mine does the same. The Mechanic said my discs are scorred and need to be reground on a lathe. A common pronob if you have hard pads like redstuff eyc...
