rattle from the back

ok , kinda had this since i got it. Its a mk1 24k on it and it has a strange rattle at the rear when you go over a bump. im inclined too think that its the exhaust or perhaps the heat shield but i fear it may be the drivers side rear shock as I kept reversing over a bump on this side to replicate the problem.

i know its vague but anyone have any ideas

Maybe the exhaust is to close to the subframe?
That you check at the back.
Look by the wheel left rear (drivers side) above,then you see the exaust and the subframe.
