Rally car

wow, what on earth have they got in the back of that (first pic), that is some seriously oversized plumbing going on...did somebody retro fit a gas turbine

looks nice tho

See this thread LINK

Most of the trophy cars have 4-5 sets of spare cromodoras (well most race cars come with lots of spares!!) so wouldn't surprise me if they are. That's where most of the sets that crop up come from (aswell as the factory clear out that happened a few years back).

ooh, ooh!, cromodora's ok, i'm in! [smilie=yay.gif] ....sent an email to seller to ask if a) spares are cromodoras & b) will he split from car & sell separately

if i get positive feedback, will post it here

UPDATE:

contacted the vendor, feedback is that he has 12 cromodoras but all fronts....Quote: 'as the car runs on the same size all round' ( can somebody explain as i cannot find Cromodora wheel sizes listed )

also, currently he will not split from the car [smilie=icon_cry.gif]

Jim, cromodora are 8"x18" fronts and 9"x18" rears IIRC ;)

from my limited ability to read french, i understand that you can put a 4 x front trophy wheels on the v6 even though the front and rear wheels are different sizes, but, by doing so you would be reducing the width of your rear tyre.

It is ideal to put the correct wheels on (although the rears need camber to fit in the arches).

ahh ok, that explains it then & when i called the guy he said they were 9" wheels, so according to the above info that would be the rears

i read the document on the link ( which by the way is very useful info & well put together ) & with my limited french i didn't see anywhere where it indicated you could put front Trophy wheels on the rear axle or vice versa.....but because of the offset ( deport in french ).....front trophy offset 21.5mm, rear 41.5mm.......i think this would cause some issue....is this perhaps resolvable with spacers ?

then as you say, camber etc etc

would just be much easier all round if someone decided to manufacture some more ;)

They are all fronts because apparently the rally regs limit the width of wheels that can be used.

It is also road legal for the same reason.

It's on pistonheads for £55,000 so I'm guessing the ebay reserve is £50,000 [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Nicely sorted car, with all carbon kevlar body.

Also it has been converted to RHD which unfortunately will have halved its value.
