All the old subframe and suspension dropped

And the engine slid into the approximate position of where it'll sit

All of the mass of the engine and gearbox has been placed behind the front axle, to help with the final handling characteristics of the car, making it more balanced from the start.

Cheers for looking guys, this project isn't being built at warp speed, we are taking our time and getting it right the first time. Power wise the engine will be built to produce a healthy and reliable 450hp with around 460lb/ft of torque driven through the awd system. Colour I was thinking is maybe Renault Monaco Blue or Ford imperial Blue, something that is a deep metallic anyway, and the plastics and trim in Matt black to match the wheels, what do you think?
Cheers for looking guys

Oh , and colour wise , White. With a black roof and rear over the window spoiler. Black wheels.

No need to thank me.

Lol thank you for the colour suggestion Andy ;)

It'll be road legal and also used for track use, not really interested in 1/4 mile racing to be honest mate, its not my thing. I'm looking forward to getting it on track and seeing what it can do

I bet it will be a monster. What sort of trick suspension are you going to use ? Stu ( from here ) used a rs200 subframe.

No problems on the colour suggestions. Thank me when its done :)

Thank you for the kind comments guys

Andy for the suspension it'll be a coilover setup for a Sierra cosworth but with the springs being different weights. The Sierra setup is a tried and tested area so thought I'd go with that and play it safe. I'm going to use AVO for the damper and spring kit.

Hi guys, turbo's been fitted up to shape the bulk head and see how it fits, its quite snug to be honest.

i931.photobucket.com_albums_ad151_matt350_R5_20EVO_IMG_1182_zps93b6844e.jpg

A new water housing has been fabricated and a remote thermostat housing has been sourced to make it more accessible for ease of servicing.

i931.photobucket.com_albums_ad151_matt350_R5_20EVO_IMG_1181_zps960cc156.jpg

The turbo is a standard Evo X TD05 unit, which is sufficient enough for what i need it for :) The injectors and fuel rail are also en-route, so we can finish off the inlet manifold by welding in the fuel rail supports. I've used Injector Dynamics 1000cc units and an Aeromotive billet aluminium fuel rail, i'll get some pictures up when they arrive.

Cheers guys.

Thats a tight squeeze! No chance when under load it might rock and catch the bulkhead ?

No mate, it may move a bit under load but it's braced very well at the sides, so lateral movement is kept to a minimum. It'll be a bugger if it did though lol o_O

Matt r u the chap who was in the Porsche @ Blyton?

Either way - Loved following this in the RTOC, and really glad to see it over here.

No mate, that wasn't me, do I have an impersonator then lol? Fingers crossed this car will have the ability to take on some bigger more expensive material, but we'll see.

This is simply an epic build!! It was always one of the ones that I would keep an eye out for on Rtoc and probably the one that I talk to mated about when talking about builds!! I honestly wouldn't know where to begin!!! Great job mate, keep it up!
