can sum1 tell me wots the diferance between ....

a dump valve
+
a blow off valve ????????

and wots the loudest ??

thanks

Essentially, not a lot. BOV is usually a bit louder cos its got the funky cone thing where the air exits, but get a decent DV and not much difference.

Joff ur right.

And a BOV on a 21 sounds utter ****e..........Ive heard Goldfish make more noise :)

Sooooo tired of logging in over and over again..........

Lets not forget the application as well... MOST BOV's (Especially in yank land) are attached to the turbo itself or have a funky bolt-on bottom which will only attcah to a hard pipe with the correct fitment - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZ...205QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item290054132139

mind you, you can get adaptors - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-9...007QQitemZ170054250087QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD2V

Any other questions?

Oh, and as Dave said, the sounds different... BOV's give more of a fast + the Furious/Jap car stlye high pitched 'CHINK'kinda sound

I had a BOV, and they are crap, more noise from your standard piston style ;)

I'll have to beg to differ boys n girls, It depends on positioning and setup. We got a blitz BOV on the Fuego and it sounds ACE.....however on a 21T in the std placement it sounds weak. Same as a DV really, positioning and setup....
