Psshhhhhhy noise coming from the suspension

Meant to post this ages ago but keep forgetting. Does anyone else notice a funny pssshhhhhh noise coming from the shocks?? when going slowly over things like speed bumps or driving around multi storeys. I only hear it if the windows are down and it seems like it comes from all corners.

Car feels fine so I'm not overly concerned but it would be nice to know if I'm alone or not.

Yep ... can hear the shocks working at slow speeds on mine too.

lol thats normal on any car isn't it.

i hear it on my mum's and dad's car when i have the windows down

'Fraid that if you hear any noise from your shocks, they are knackered. Interesting that many other owners proudly say that they also have a noise......!!!

Had my car from brand new, and it's made the noise from day one and from both sides .. so I'm happy that whatever makes the noise is supposed to.

I've always enjoyed the fact that low speed as I roll my "pocket-sized supercar" along through a crowd it makes cool noises with the suspension pssshhhhing, the brakes slightly rubbing (not binding at all) and the engine purring.

Yup, like Andy I've had this noise from many of my cars (at low speeds over big humps with the window open) and its never been related to a shock failure.

Also know what you mean about the noise of big brakes!
