Having not been able to sleep very much as a result of alcohol withdrawls from the festive season I decided to put my time to some (good) use.
As anyone who knows me will know I live in an old coastguard station right on Rosslare Harbour and am mad into ferries. Over the years Stena Line have used a ferry called Stena Seafarer on one or two occasions to relieve our regular Fishguard-Rosslare ferry (Stena Europe) while she headed to dry dock for maintenance etc. The last time she visited was in 2010, she has since been sold on to Russian interests or something so we wont see her in Rosslare again unless its on my shelf.
I had cut a hull out of some waste wood a long time back and since then its just got in the way around the house, after closer inspection I realised the hull was similar to that of the Seafarer so last night I decided to make a burst at it.
To show you what I'm aiming for here's some pics of the original.

[BREAK
ay One]
And here's my effort:

[BREAK
ay 1 Part 2]
Starting to take shape now.

[BREAK
ay 2]

[BREAK
ay 2 Part 2]

[BREAK
ay 3]

[BREAK
ay 3 Part 2 Primed]
Now that the major structural crap is done i threw a quick dose of primer on it to highlight the imperfections, thatll make it much easier when I'm isoponing and sanding it down.

[BREAK
ay 4 Part 1 (More Priming/Filling/Sanding)]

[BREAK
ay 4 Part 2 (Sanded and white primer)]
So yet more sanding and such and now she's got her white primer on, getting closer to paint now

[BREAK=Adding Some Blue To The Hull]

[BREAK=More Colours, Details And Lifeboats]
