power steering fluid reservoir.

Think it's under the engine cover at the back left (looking towards the car). It should have the symbol on top of it.

thanks.

i done a search and found out.

doh thinking about it i knew it was there..what a dumb ass, haha i couldnt find it when i was looking for it.

like you say you can see it but to check it properly the trim has to be removed. I bet Renault don't check it during a service.

Bit of a pain but its something to do on a weekend :D

I have a strange rumor only over 180 km/h since a few days(queeck, queeeck, under the front bonnet ) , i think the steering oil system have some air in it.

Can this be ??

FTR apparently most Vee's power steering systems have leaks as standard for Renault (from what I have been told). Often just small "weep"ing, but leaks none the less!

Mine did and was fixed under warranty.

Renault replaced both the pwer steering hoses on my car under warranty. This is the full length ones from the engine to to the rack. They were leaking with less than 2000 miles on the clock. They informed me that the new hoses were a modified type and The Cost to them ??? Well I could have purchased another Clio for the same cost !!!

Yes, i've just replaced the high pressure power steering line myself as i'm out of warranty!!

Renault part cost about £300 (no way I was paying that) and the labour would have been loads as it took me over a day:

1. Remove all engine covers
2. Remove all underside trays
3. Undo High pressure hose at both ends
4. undo a few brackets, including the petrol tank bar and brackets holding air conditioning hosing underneath and front axle support bracket.
5. Somehow manage to get the line out twisting and pulling!!
6. Take to Pirtek who put new couplings and hosing on for £130 (still a bit steep but a far cry from £300)
7. Replace and refill unit.
8. Put all covers back on.

Mine failed an MOT because of it (bit picky in my view as most cars leak), but it's one of the most time consuming jobs i've done for a while, and I doubt Renault would have had the same care as I did.

Here's a few pics of the old line (put some red dust protectors on before transit to Pirtek):

Could it not be made up out of Goodridge hosing withcorrect connectors on each end? Surely std hydraulic fittings? and i believe -3 sized hose same as brake system no?
