Please post if you've had trophy coils fitted.

I've had no OEM coil failures, so from this small sample, one might assume there are no issuses with the Vee...
...using a wider sample, it can be proven that statistaically there is a definite problem!
Martin K1ANO fixing guide is great, and I carry spares with me... but I really don't want to have to deal with this problem 100 miles from home on a dark wet night!

I'm up for the cambelt swap this year, and am seriously considering a switch to trophy coils with SGMotorsport at the same time.

My questions for trophy coil conversion members is this:
Have you HONESTLY ever had a fail?
Will there be a supply issue regarding replacement items of this product in... say... 10 years time?

i have them and never had a failed one yet but every time i post about trophy coils i get crucified by the trophy police :evil:

Had trophy coils for nearly a year now, they were fairly simple to fit and not had a problem since, whereas i had a total of five OEM coils fail in the first 18 months i had the car, which i am told contributed to the 'incineration' of my Cat system which cost (renault) around £3000 to fix.
