1.Rubbed them down with wet and dry paper started with a medium grit paper and moved to very fine so removing any scratch marks
2. Primed with plastic grey primer, halfords etc stock this
3. Left for 24hrs to cure
4. Sprayed with iceberg silver 2-3 fine coats ( same colour as car ) again halfords stock this
5. Leave to fully dry
6. 2 -3 coats of clear lacquer. ( extra tuff type used for alloys etc as it resists scratching better) again avail from halfords

Messed it up on one as touched it with finger b4 dry so had to start again, just take your time.
They look excellent now

How easy was it to get the mirror covers off? Is it just prised off like usual with a big flatblade screwdriver?

There's a strange mark on my nearside one, thought of getting it re-sprayed when I get my rear bumper done over the winter.

Thunderstarte - if you dont want to do your door pulls yourself the Spray Shack do them regularly. They have/had a groupbuy on CS recently

Spot on work mate! How did you clean the engine bay up? Mine has no covers at the moment so I'm thinking the same!

Also what discs are they you have bought?

Got some engine cleaner petroleum based stuff and brushed it on everywhere, and then carefully washed off, lubed cables and moving parts with spray grease.
Sprayed plastic. cable shrouds etc with silicon to add a bit if sheen

Disks are 2 piece type with outers and "inner bell" made of anodised aluminium
Weren't cheap at £450 delivered but are better than OEM for £350 in my opinion
And should be a Lilltle lighter.

Don't use a screwdriver externally as the cap and clips will break and make a total mess.

To get the mirrors back you have to take the mirror glass out first, this is clipped into a base plate and does come unclipped eventually - just be patient and the mirror will pop out of the base plate clips, you will need to get your fingers under the mirror and unpop the clips - a bit fiddly so take your time, then disconnect the 2 electrical connectors from the back of the mirror. Now remove the mirror glass. You will now see the 4 clips that hold the back on. Now just simply unclip the 4 retaining clips using a small flat screwdriver.

Cheers for that Mossy [smilie=thanks.gif]

Keep up the good work Iain :approve:, making me want to get cleaning mine now
