Phase II Wheel Offsets.......with a twist !

ClioSpyder

New Member
Does anyone know what the Offset would be for the following size Phase II wheels ?

Front: 8 x 18
Rear: 9 x 18

I'm thinking without the use of spacers, but that might not be an option ?

Any info would be great...........Many Thanks.

Is this for the speedlines?

Can we not have 7" and 8.5" like OEM but maybe with 5mm or so wider offset at both ends?

I was thinking more Trophy widths as Speedline Corsa Type 2120 are available in their narrowest width of 8's.

So was thinking 8's & 9's..............with the correct offsets to suit ?

K-tec used to sell compomotives in 18" and in 8's and 9's and the rears always stuck out too far, Same with the trophy cromadoras, the offsets are all wrong on the rears,

IMO if your going for a 9" rear offset would have to be 70 or more ???

Interesting...............I'll speak to the Guy over the next couple of days and see what he comes back with.

If it's a brick wall at least it's cost us nothing.

Thanks for your input Colin.

Maybe someone will be along who has Croms fitted such as Russo or mossy And they can advise on offsets..

I suppose another option would be 8" front and 8.5 rear with offset of 6 front and say 63 rear (standard mk2 is 68 so 5mm further out each side rear)

Not sure if any of the info helps but here's my order info for my spacers:-

EXTERNAL HUB (WHEEL HUB SIZE)
60.1mm

INTERNAL BORE (CAR HUB SIZE)
60.1mm

DEPTH OF CAR HUB
15mm

PCD OF CAR
5x108

PCD OF WHEEL
5X108

NUTS OR BOLTS CURRENTLY ON CAR
M12 Bolts

THREAD/STUD IN CAR PCD (12X1.5 ETC…)
12X1.5

If your getting wheels custom made to order I'd personaly stick to the original offsets and widths as the OEM ph2 wheels. There no point adding half inch for no benefit what so ever. If anything you will only add more unsprung weight. You certainly won't gain any more traction or grip unless wider tyres are fitted at which point the rear springs get VERY close and I'm talking a few mm. Just use tried and tested offsets and sizes. That way you know, what tyre combo's work best, there will be no arch scrubbing issues and most importantly the handling will be largely uneffected.

Just my bag.
