Phase 2 on Gumtree £7800

I think I looked at this last december if it was owned by a chap on here, cant remember his name, and it was on 40k miles then.

If its the same one then 56k in just over a year!

Yes was the same car:

Owned by Master L No.58

I would guess at the advert not being real..... 56k in a year.... wow :race:

One of the pictures was taken in 2011 if the camera date is correct.

States it was serviced by Scott @ SG, so if anyone interested then they could always contact him.

If it seems to good to be true, then it most likely is.

Cheers for the heads up, I've reported it to gumtree hopefully get the add removed. I think the price is a bit of a give away

That would have been the bargain of the century...........

Cannot understand why people bother with such antics - are they expecting someone to wire them a deposit before enquiring about or seeing the car in the flesh, or at least satisfying themselves that the car is actually for sale?

I'd agree - what's the point ? Surely nobody would actually pay any money before seeing the car ?

We've all seen rouge traders and the like. There are some very foolish and easily led people out there. Truth be told I came accross a scam just before I got mine but twigged on straight away. That was for a car being advertised around the correct price for the time aswell hence I initially showed interest.

Before I got mine, I contacted a trader to have a look at a black V6 with cream leathers for sale. The guy said that someone had already paid a deposit without even seeing the car. [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

I suppose there's people out there who doesn't really care or just have lot of money to spend, weird.

People do buy sight unseen, or pay deposits online or over the phone, before actually viewing a car, but it would be foolish to do so if the advert is on a site like Gumtree or eBay and/or the car is being sold privately.

If the car is advertised by a dealer or a broker then it should be okay to pay a deposit using a credit card (or PayPal), with the sale/purchase subject to a viewing and a test drive.
