Phase 2 Illiad for sale

Just got the comment below from the present owner below so at least it should not catch some unwary buyer out if changes are put in, good luck to him if he gets his price, expensive now for Cat D and 60k!!

'We just discussed this actually that we need to change the advert.
The car was classified as a Cat D when I bought it, the damage was near side suspension and wheel. A very light repair which should have never been wrote off. Everything was repaired and I have an Autolign inspection certificate to prove it's road worthy. It's been reclassified on the HPI Condition Inspected Registar. I can send you copies of the certificate and any other documentation to support this. - lukerface'

Why the big debate about this car, it's the same as Edd's repaired V6 that's for sale ?? Had it auto line and reclassified

To be honest most owners of a vee's will never ever drive their cars hard enough to expose any potential faults and weaknesses from a crash repaired vee. Most buy it not to thrash but for road presence, sense of occasion, bonkers idea and essentially the way they look and the sound they make neither of which is affected by a car repaired to the highest standard. The only question as ever is naturally the 'right' price.

Regarding Edd's V6 his has been so meticulously repaired the evidence/portfolio is all there for any future owner so there is huge peace of mind regarding it. So in a sense it's not the same it's been repaired to way beyond the minimum standard.

Hypothetically if I had the money I would buy all these unloved against vees and get them to as perfect condition as possible. Only difference is most owners look for resale value I would want to keep them so wouldnt matter what their history is, serviced or not serviced etc cos each would be restored to their former glory. But I doubt a lottery win is around the corner!
