Are they significantly different? I noticed at the lakes meet with matts car when accelerating gear changes where completely different from mine.

Slightly tongue in cheek maybe ... but the Vee is a manual gearbox so surely gear changes are entirely driver inspired :race:

I've got a mk2 box on a mk1

Defo big difference - shorter shift plus ratios are lower for 1st to 3rd gears and better matched to the engines power curve :)

If you can find one for sale make sure you keep the mk1 flywheel and clutch as its stronger than the mk2 version :)

Perfekt:) then i just need a new gearbox 3000euro here in sweden :s Have asked if K-tec can deliver a new one with a quaife diff installed
Got my new TTV flywheel today 5.5kg would be a big diffrence to oem 13kg :)

I would cerainly consider the Phase 2 gearbox for the reasons stated above.

The Quaife ATB diff and TTV Flywheel combination is hihgly recommended :approve: This definitely needs the Phase 1 clutch so best of both worlds really.
