Phase 2 Air Filter

Getting my phase 2 serviced next week and was wondering if there are there any filters available other than the standard one?
Would it be a worth while change?
Thanks

Hi,
I bought a foam filter from K-Tec 3 years ago it was a third of the price of a standard filter when it needs changing I wash it and dry it with a hair dryer.

Does it make any difference performance wise?

Just went on the K-Tec site and they want £6 for delivery to uk mainland and £25 for delivery to Northern Ireland for an item that definitely wouldnt cost as much as £6 to ship to Northern Ireland so I wont be buying anything there.......

Will have a look at bmc & pipercoss!

I brought a piper cross one off ebay for half what the standard paper one from Renault was, for me it was not really about cost, I am normally everything OEM but the filter is a much better quality than Renaults.

Yea, got one on mine. Cant say it feels any different to drive but does sound better when pushed hard (if you open the passenger window while you do it if you like, the intake is on that side)

BMC carbon box. Looks quite original and has all the benefits of the rest. Failing that, just fit a K&N panel as none of them add any real gains over the airbox.

I've got a Green Cotton filter in my car, much better and cheaper than Renault item without the cost of going the Pipercross/BMC route :)

ITG
not in the catalogue but you can order. To be safe, when ordering include the specs of a Phase 2 otherwise you may receive a Ph 1 filter which will not fit.
slightly better noise, but that's it. And may slightly better response, but not sure.

Ended up going for this.
Renault use Green Filters in their rally cars so thats pretty close to OEM in my opinion!
